Sherry Demi-glace

This is a great sauce in which to toss cocktail meatballs for a tasty hors d'oeuvre.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Course Condiment

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ stick Butter
  • 1 Finely Minced SHallot
  • 1 clove Minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 2 cup Sherry
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Sugar

Instructions
 

  • In saucepan place Butter, Shallot and Garlic. When shallots are soft add Corn Starch and stir constantly until slightly browned.
  • Add Sherry, Salt and Sugar. Whisk until smooth then simmer until reduced to a shiny glaze.
