Malai Aam (Sticky Rice w/ Mango & Cream)
This is a lovely dessert to finish any Indian or Thai meal.

Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Olive OIl
- 2 cups Basmati or Jasmine Rice
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Coconut Water
- 2 cups Cream of Coconut Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch Salt
- ¼ tsp Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Fresh Ginger
- 1 tbsp Sugar
Cream
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 pinch Cinnamon
- 1 pinch Cardamom
Serve
- Fresh Mango Slices
- Mint (to garnish)
Instructions
- In saucepan place Oil and Basmati Rice. Toss to coat then add Water, Coconut Water, Cream of Coconut Milk, Vanilla Extract, Salt, Cinnamon, Fresh Ginger and Sugar. Simmer until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- With a wooden spoon stir until creamy. Let rest covered until ready to serve.
Cream
- In small mixing bowl place Heavy Cream, Sugar, Cinnamon and Cardamom. Stir to blend and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve
- To serve place a small mound of sticky rice on a plate and place a few slices of fresh mango alongside of rice then drizzle rice and mango with 1-2 tbsp of Cream Mixture. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
