Chilled Jumbo Shrimp w/ Classic Cocktail Sauce

Ingredients
  

Shrimp

  • Shrimp (amount based on your portion preference - 21-26 count are a perfect cocktail size)
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Lemon (cut in half)
  • 2 tbsp White Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning

Cocktail Sauce

  • 2 cups Catsup
  • Zest & Juice of One Lemon
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Horseradish (more if you like it spicy)
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 pinch Sugar

Instructions
 

Shrimp

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add Bay Leaves, Lemon, White Vinegar, Sugar, Old Bay Seasoning. Add Shrimp and cook until pink outside and firm white inside (approximately 2-3 minutes). Drain and rinse under cold water. Refrigerate until cold. Serve with cocktail sauce and lemon wedges.

Cocktail Sauce

  • Mix together Catsup, Lemon Zest and Lemon Juice, Worcestershire Sauce, Horseradish, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder and Sugar. Refrigerate until ready to use.
