Baked Clams Casino

A classic clam appetizer

Ingredients
  

  • Cherrystone Clams (quantity based on number of guests)
  • ¼ cup Olive Oil
  • 1 Finely Diced Onion
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup Pecorino Romano Cheese
  • ¼ cup White Wine (or more if needed)
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 tbsp Chopped Flat Leave Parsley
  • 2 tbsp Additional Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Crushed Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Clean and shuck Cherrystone Clams. Place meat back in half shell.
  • Prepare filling. Sauté Olive Oil, Onion and Garlic for 4 minutes.
  • Add Rough Chopped Clams, Breadcrumbs, Pecorino Romano Cheese, White Wine, Lemon Juice, Parsley, Additional Olive Oil and Crushed Black Pepper and blend.
  • Top raw clams with filling packing gently.
  • Bake in 350℉ oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and hot. Serve with lemon wedges.
