Chestnut Puree on Sliced Apples
This is a simple holiday hors d'oeuvre - perfect for the season.

Ingredients
- 1 lb Roasted Chestnut Meat (or store bought candied chestnuts)
- 2 tbsp Walnut Oil
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 3 drops Water (as needed if paste is too thick)
- Apple Slices (peeled, cored, sliced; quantity based on number of guests)
- 1 tbsp Additional Lemon Juice
Instructions
- In food processor place Roasted Chestnut Meat and pulse until a paste is formed. Add Walnut Oil, Lemon Juice, Sugar and drops of Water as needed if paste is too thick.
- Toss Apple Slices with Additional Lemon Juice.
- Pipe chestnut puree on each apple slice. Refrigerate covered to set until ready to serve.
