Chestnut Puree on Sliced Apples
This is a simple holiday hors d'oeuvre - perfect for the season.

- 1 lb Roasted Chestnut Meat (or store bought candied chestnuts)
- 2 tbsp Walnut Oil
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 3 drops Water (as needed if paste is too thick)
- Apple Slices (peeled, cored, sliced; quantity based on number of guests)
- 1 tbsp Additional Lemon Juice
In food processor place Roasted Chestnut Meat and pulse until a paste is formed. Add Walnut Oil, Lemon Juice, Sugar and drops of Water as needed if paste is too thick.
Toss Apple Slices with Additional Lemon Juice.
Pipe chestnut puree on each apple slice. Refrigerate covered to set until ready to serve.
