Butter Greens w/ Apples - Walnuts - Cider Vinaigrette

Ingredients
  

  • Butter Greens (or use Bibb or Boston lettuce)
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple (washed, peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 1 Red Delicious Apple (washed, peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • ½ cup Walnuts

Dressing

  • ½ cup Apple Cider
  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ½ cup Olive Oil
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dry Butter Greens.
  • Toss cut apples with Lemon Juice, Salt and Sugar.
  • In medium hot sauté pan place Walnuts. shaking pan toast walnuts for 2 minutes to enhance their flavor.

Dressing

  • In mixing bowl place Apple Cider, Apple Cider Vinegar, Olive Oil, Salt, Black Pepper and Sugar. Blend dressing well.

Assemble

  • Place salad greens, apples and walnuts in a serving bowl or platter and drizzle with dressing.
