Thai Dipping Sauces

Sweet & Spicy: This is a delicious dipping sauce that is hot and sweet and perfect for dipping spring rolls.
Peanut Butter Sauce: This is great with any satay especially chicken.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Cooling and Refrigerating Time 45 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 10 minutes
Course Condiment

Ingredients
  

Sweet & Spicy

  • cups Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ¼ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 clove Whole Garlic
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 Small Piece of Fresh Ginger
  • ¼ cup White Rice Vinegar

Peanut Butter Sauce

  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Chunky Peanut Butter
  • ¼ cup Light Soy Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Fresh Chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2-3 stalks Finely Chopped Scallion
  • ¼ cup Coconut Milk

Instructions
 

Sweet & Spicy

  • In saucepan place Water, Sugar, Red Pepper Flakes, Whole Garlic, Salt, Ginger and White Rice Vinegar.
  • Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove garlic clove and piece of ginger. Let cool then refrigerate until ready to use.

Peanut Butter Sauce

  • In mixing bowl combine Creamy Peanut Butter, Chunky Peanut Butter, Light Soy Sauce, Sesame Oil, Sugar, Ginger, Garlic Powder, Scallion and Coconut Milk and blend well.
