5-Spice Fried Tilapia

Ingredients
  

  • Tilapia Filets
  • 4 Egg Whites
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ½ cup Flour
  • ½ cup Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Chinese 5-Spice
  • Hoisin Sauce
  • Lemon Wedges

Instructions
 

  • Clean and split Tilapia Filets in half lengthwise.
  • Prepare egg wash mixing Egg Whites, Water and Lemon Juice.
  • Prepare flour mixture mixing Flour, Cornstarch and Chinese 5-Spice.
  • Dip filet strip in egg wash then into flour mixture. Place in hot skillet with cooking oil. Fry 2-3 minutes on each side or until crispy and golden. Serve with a drizzle of hoisin sauce and wedge of lemon.
