The Best Meatloaf Ever
A good old American classic comfort food. It always conjures up childhood memories of my mom, my sister (who usually prepared this tasty dish when she got home from school) my brother and me laughing around the kitchen table. Don’t leave anything out – it is a great dish - kids love this - especially my great-nephew Brian.

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
- 1 lb Ground Veal
- ½ lb Ground Pork (omit if you don't eat pork and increase the veal or beef or just use beef)
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 cups Breadcrumbs
- 1 Large Minced Onion
- 1/2 cup Catsup (plus a little extra for top of loaf)
- 2 tbsp Mustard
- ½ cup Brown Mushroom Gravy (for this Heinz gravy is perfect - use the rest for serving)
- ½ cup Applesauce (store-bought is perfectly fine here - plus some for top of loaf)
- 1 packet French's Onion Soup Mix
- ½ tsp Garlic Powder
Instructions
- In large mixing bowl gently mix (never pack hard) Ground Beef, Ground Veal and Ground Pork.
- Add Eggs, Milk, Breadcrumbs, Onion, Catsup, Mustard, Brown Mushroom Gravy, Applesauce, French's Onion Soup Mix, Garlic Powder.
