Southern Mud Pie
This is my take on a classic mud pie - a true chocolate lover's delight.

Ingredients
Pie Crust
- 2 cups Chocolate Thin Wafers
- 1 stick Melted Butter
Filling
- 8 oz Dark Unsweetened Chocolate
- ½ stick Butter
- 3 Eggs
- ¼ cup Light Corn Syrup
- 2 tbsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ½ cup Softened Creamy Peanut Butter
- ¼ cup Chopped Roasted Salted Peanuts
- ¼ cup Chopped Pecans
Instructions
Pie Crust
- In processor mix together Chocolate Thin Wafers and Melted Butter. Line pie plate with chocolate crust.
Filling
- Melt Chocolate and Butter.
- In a separate bowl beat 3 eggs. Add Corn Syrup, Vanilla and Sugar.
- Add egg mixture to melted chocolate. Fold in Peanut Butter and Roasted Salted Peanuts.
Cook
- Pour batter into chocolate pie crust. Bake 350℉ oven for about 40 minutes or until pie is set and a crunchy brownie-like top forms on pie.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve with dollop of whipped cream and a little shaved chocolate bar.
