Bacon & Egg Strata
This is a very simple strata perfect for a New Year's Eve after midnight breakfast or any Sunday morning brunch.This egg dish is great served with roasted potatoes, coffee and juice.

Ingredients
- 1 lb Bacon
- 6 Eggs
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 4 oz Softened Cream Cheese
- 2 tbsp Hellmann's Mayonnaise
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- ¼ stick Melted Butter
- 2-3 cups Day-old Bread (broken into pieces)
- 2 cups Cheddar Cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Place Bacon on a baking sheet and bake in a 350℉ oven until browned. Let cool then cut into small pieces.
- In mixing bowl place Eggs, Heavy Cream, Softened Cream Cheese, Mayonnaise, Salt and Black Pepper and mix well.
- In a large casserole dish brush with Melted Butter
- Place in casserole dish Day-old Bread broken into pieces and add cooked bacon and optional Cheddar Cheese.
- Pour egg mixture over bread and cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours.
- Bake in a 350℉ oven for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
