Tomatillo Salsa

Tomatillos are small green tomato-shaped fruits that are great to make salsas. They come in a leafy paper casing that must be removed.
This versatile sauce is a must have when serving grilled chicken or fish not just for Mexican cuisine.

Chill Time 20 minutes
Total Time 35 minutes
Course Condiment

Ingredients
  

  • 6-8 Tomatillos
  • Zest & Juice of Two Limes
  • 1 Rough Chopped Onion (medium onion)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ¼ cup Fresh Cilantro
  • 2 Jalapeño Peppers (use seeds to achieve desired heat)

Instructions
 

  • Rinse, dry and cut Tomatillos. Place in the bowl of a food processor or blender.
  • Add all ingredients to the bowl and run processor or blender until desired chunkiness is achieved. Chill until ready to use.
