Grilled Balsamic Portobello Mushroom w/ Caramelized Onion

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Portobello Mushrooms (one large mushroom per person)

Marinade

  • ½ cup Olive Oil
  • ¼ cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • ½ tsp Sea Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder

Sauté

  • 3 Large Sliced Onions
  • ¼ cup Additional Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • ½ tsp Sea Salt
  • ½ tsp Agave

Instructions
 

  • Clean and dry Portobello Mushrooms.

Marinade

  • Mix together Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Onion Powder and Garlic Powder.
  • Pour marinade over mushrooms and let stand for at least one hour. Place mushrooms on a hot grill and cook about 4-5 minutes on each side.

Sauté

  • In sauté pan place Onions, Olive Oil, Minced Garlic, Sea Salt and Agave. Cook over low heat until onions are golden brown and nicely caramelized.
  • Place grilled mushroom on plate and top with caramelized onions.
