Mini Ham & Cheese Panini
These delicious grilled sandwiches can also be made on baguettes, Italian bread or even sliced white or whole breads. This recipe uses ciabatta rolls from your favorite bakery.

Ingredients
- Ciabatta Rolls
- ½ cup Hellmann's Mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- ½ tsp Onion Powder
- ¼ tsp Crushed Black Pepper
- Black Forest Ham (2-3 slices per sandwich is plenty)
- Sliced Emmental Swiss Cheese (or any melting cheese you prefer)
- ¼ stick Melted Butter
Instructions
- Mix together Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, Onion Powder and Black Pepper. Spread mixture on insides of bread.
- Fill sandwiches with 2-3 slices of Black Forest Ham, Sliced Emmental Swiss Cheese (or any melting cheese you prefer).
- Close sandwich and brush outside of sandwiches or loaf with Melted Butter.
- Place on hot grill or grill pan press/weigh with a heavy griddle press or be creative and make a press with a smaller heavier fry pan such as a cast iron skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes until golden and turn over and cook on the other side. If you are using sliced white or whole wheat a grill press is not necessary.
Notes
Omit the ham for your vegetarians and replace cheese with a good vegan Swiss cheese for your vegan guests and of course for them use vegenaise in place of regular mayo in the spread.
