Cheddar Cheese Biscuits
These biscuits are so delicious you will need to make extra. They are also perfect little hors d'oeuvre bites served with cocktails.

Ingredients
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 1 tbsp Baking Soda
- ½ tbsp Baking Powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- ½ tbsp Onion Powder
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 stick Melted Butter
- 1 cup Shredded White Cheddar Cheese (you can use yellow cheddar if you prefer)
Butter Mixture
- ½ cup White Wine
- 2 tbsp Dried Dill
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- ¼ stick Additional Butter
- 2 tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- In large mixing bowl place Flour, Cornmeal, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Salt, Onion Powder, Milk and Melted Butter. Blend to form dough. Add Cheddar Cheese and blend well.
- Roll out on floured surface to about 1" thick. With a floured biscuit cutter cut dough into desired size (1-1½" circles for hors d'oeuvres and 3" for dinner biscuits or 4" circles for sandwiches) and place on lightly sprayed or greased cookie sheet. Bake in 400℉ oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
Butter Mixture
- In saucepan place White Wine, Dried Dill, Salt, Sugar, Additional Butter and Grated Parmesan Cheese and heat through.
- When biscuits come out of oven brush tops with this mixture and watch them disappear.
