Crab Rangoon

These fried treats are amazing.

Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • ½ bunch Scallion
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • 8 oz Crabmeat
  • Wonton Wrappers (store bought)
  • 2 Egg Whites

Sweet Pepper Sauce

  • ½ cup Water
  • ¼ cup White Vinegar
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes

Instructions
 

Filling

  • In processor blend Cream Cheese, Scallion and Sugar. Add and gently blend Crabmeat.
  • Take wonton wrapper and brush with egg white wash. Place a tablespoon of mixture on wonton and fold in half to make a triangle then fold the two end points to the center point to form wonton rangoon.
  • Deep fry for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Place on paper towel to drain and serve as is or with sweet pepper sauce.

Sweet Pepper Sauce

  • In saucepan bring Water, White Vinegar Sugar and Red Pepper Flakes to a boil. Let boil on low flame until sauce reduces by half.
