Brie w/ Cranberry-Sage Topping

This is a beautiful centerpiece to your holiday appetizer table. I am not a huge fan of sage but this makes the dish and can turn everyone into a lover of sage. Just remember: like nutmeg, a little bit of sage goes a long way.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bag Cleaned Fresh Cranberries (reserve 3 whole fresh berries for decorating at end)
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ¼ cup Water
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ½ tsp Dried Sage
  • 1 wheel Brie (or Camembert)
  • 2-3 leaves Fresh Sage
  • Crackers & Breads (for serving)

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan place Fresh Cranberries (reserve 3 whole fresh cranberries for decorating at end), Lemon Juice, Water, Sugar and Dried Sage. Bring to a boil and reduce heat.
  • When cranberries just start to pop remove from heat and stir gently. Let cool.
  • Place whole round of Brie on a serving platter or tray. Spoon cooled cranberry-sage sauce on top of cheese.
  • Place Fresh Sage Leaves on top of sauce (to look like a bow on a wreath) and place the 3 reserved cranberries in the center of the sage in a triangle pattern.
  • Serve with a basket of good crackers and breads.
