Mashed Sweet Potatoes
A perfect side to any fall dish and a must have at Thanksgiving.

Ingredients
- 6-8 Sweet Potatoes or Yams
- 1 stick Butter
- ¼ cup Packed Brown Sugar (use a little extra if you like them sweeter)
- 3 tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 tbsp Salt
- ½ tbsp Crushed Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- ½ tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Wash Sweet Potatoes and bake in 350℉ oven until tender - approximately 45 minutes. You can use the microwave which should take about 10 minutes - or you can use canned yams that have been drained and mashed.
- In saucepan melt Butter and add Brown Sugar, Pure Maple Syrup, Salt, Crushed Black Pepper, Cinnamon and Pure Vanilla Extract.
- Pour butter mixture over mashed sweet potatoes and blend. Place in a buttered baking dish and bake in 350℉ oven for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and slightly browned around edges.
