Scallops Wrapped in Bacon
This is a classic and much loved hors d'oeuvre. This will yield 24 hors d'oeuvres and will serve 6 as a first course appetizer or 4 as a lunch / dinner entrée.

Ingredients
- 24 Scallops (washed and dried)
- 12 slices Bacon (cut in half to make 24 pieces)
- 1 tsp Crushed Black Pepper
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
Instructions
- Wash and dry Scallops. Cut Bacon in half to make 24 pieces.
- Prepare dry rub. Mix together Black Pepper, Salt, Brown Sugar, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder and Old Bay Seasoning.
- Remove a tablespoon of the mixture and set aside.
- Toss dry scallops in dry rub and coat evenly.
- Wrap each scallop in a bacon slice. Place on baking sheet with bacon seam down and sprinkle with reserved dry rub.
- Bake in 400℉ oven until bacon is crispy brown approximately 10-12 minutes.
