Beer Boiled Cabbage - Potatoes - Carrots - Onions

Classic boiled vegetables for a St. Patrick's Day Feast

Ingredients
  

  • 5 lbs Potatoes (peeled, washed and cut into large wedges)
  • 2-3 lbs Carrots (peeled, washed and cut into large chunks)
  • 3 Large Onions (peeled and quartered)
  • 2 heads Cabbage (washed and cut into wedges)
  • 1 can Beer
  • 2 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Sugar

Instructions
 

  • In large pot place Potatoes, Carrots, Onions and Cabbage. Cover vegetables with water and add Beer, Salt, Black Pepper and Sugar. Cook on medium heat until carrots and potatoes are fork tender - approximately 1 hour.
