Shrimp Mousse on Heart-shaped Toasts
This is always a big hit. It is simple yet so delicious. This has been one of my sister's signature hors d'oeuvres for decades. It isn't a party without it.

Ingredients
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 can Campbell's Tomato Soup
- 2 cans Tiny Shrimp (drained & rinsed) (or 8oz cooked & diced shrimp)
- ½ cup Finely Diced Celery
- ¼ cup Finely Diced Onion
- 1 cup Hellmann's Mayonnaise
- 1 packet Non-flavored Gelatin (softened with ¼ cup warm water)
Instructions
- In saucepan melt Cream Cheese and Tomato Soup.
- In mixing bowl place Shrimp, Celery, Onion and Mayonnaise and blend well.
- Add Gelatin to tomato soup mixture and blend well.
- Pour tomato soup mixture into shrimp salad mixture and blend. Refrigerate overnight or at least 3-4 hours to set and let flavors develop.
- Serve with crackers, breads, breadsticks or in cucumber cups as an elegant hors d'oeuvre and for this romantic occasion place on heart-shaped toasts.
