Russian Tea Cookies
These small white treats just melt in your mouth. This recipe yields 4 dozen cookies.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Softened Butter
- ½ cup Confectioners' Sugar
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2¼ cups All-purpose Flour (NOT self-rising cake flour)
- 1 tsp Salt
- ¾ cup Finely Chopped Walnuts or Pecans (whichever you prefer or use both)
- Additional Confectioners' Sugar (to roll cookies)
Instructions
- Cream together Softened Butter, Confectioners' Sugar and Pure Vanilla Extract.
- Slowly add All-purpose Flour, Salt and Walnuts. Mix just until dough holds together.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls or crescent shape and place on ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake 10-12 minutes in 400℉ oven or until set but not browned.
- While still warm roll in Confectioners' sugar. Let cookies cool then roll again in confectioners' sugar.
