Mini Bagels w/ Cream Cheese Spreads - Butter - Preserves
Many bagel stores offer mini bagels or will with a little notice. Place mini bagels in a basket and surround with whipped butter, a variety of preserves such as strawberry, apricot and blueberry and some cream cheese spreads. I usually have three cream cheese spreads on hand for a brunch. Plain - Vegetable - Scallion (these are perfect if I am offering smoked salmon, if not then I would make a cream cheese and lox spread too).

Ingredients
Plain Cream Cheese
- Cream Cheese
- 2 tbsp Heavy Cream
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Sour Cream
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Sugar
Vegetable Spread
- 2 Shredded or Finely Diced Carrots
- 1 Small Green Bell Pepper Finely Diced
- 1 Small Grated Onion
Scallion Spread
- 1-2 bunches Finely Chopped Scallions
Lox Spread
- ¼ lb Smoked Salmon Finely Diced
Instructions
Plain Cream Cheese
- Bring Cream Cheese to room temperature for easy handling and add Heavy Cream, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Salt and Sugar. Blend well.
Vegetable Spread
- For Vegetable Spread to Plain Cream Cheese add Carrots, Green Bell Pepper and Onion and blend well.
Scallion Spread
- For Scallion Spread to Plain Cream Cheese add Chopped Scallions and blend well.
Lox Spread
- For Lox Spread to Plain Cream Cheese add Smoked Salmon.
