Instructions
Grease and line three 9-inch cake pans and set aside.
Cake
In saucepan with very low heat combine Sweet German Chocolate and Warm Water to melt then let cool.
In mixer cream Butter and Sugar until light and smooth.
Add Egg Yolks and Pure Vanilla Extract one at a time and beat until pale yellow.
In a separate bowl sift together Flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder and Salt.
Add flour mixture to batter slowly alternating with Buttermilk and Melted Chocolate.
Pour batter into pans and bake in 350℉ oven for 40-45 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean and dry. Let cool before assembling.
Filling
Place Sugar, Evaporated Milk, Butter and 6 Beaten Egg Yolks in a saucepan and cook until golden brown and custard-like.
Add Coconut Flakes, Chopped Pecans and Pure Vanilla Extract. Blend and let cool.
Assemble
Spread filling on top of each layer of cake and stack.
Melt ¼ cup Chocolate Morsels. Drizzle melted chocolate over cake and let set in refrigerator until ready to serve.
