Chocolate Chocolate Mousse Cake w/ Chocolate Ganache Icing

Ingredients
  

  • Chocolate Cake (prepared separately)
  • Chocolate Mousse (prepared separately)
  • 1 lb Dark Chocolate
  • ΒΌ stick Butter
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Chocolate Cake using separate recipe.
  • Prepare Chocolate Mousse using separate recipe.

Make Ganache

  • In double boiler melt Dark Chocolate and Butter. Remove from heat and with an electric mixer beat in Heavy Cream and Pure Vanilla Extract. Beat until a shiny icing is formed. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to set before using.

Assemble Cake

  • Split cooled cake. Place mousse filling and top with layer of chocolate cake. Repeat.
  • Spread ganache icing over cake. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
