My sister's other famous recipe, her chewy chocolate chip cookies. Her kids and husband call her the "Cookie Mom-ster."This yields about 3 dozen cookies.
2cupsSemi-Sweet Chocolate Chips(or 8 oz chopped chocolate chunks)
1cupChopped Walnuts(optional)
Instructions
Cream together Butter, Sugar and Brown Sugar.
Add Eggs and Pure Vanilla Extract. When blended slowly add Flour and blend.
Then add Chocolate Chips (or Chocolate Chunks) to batter and fold to incorporate. You can also add Walnuts here at your option.
Let batter rest and chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before using.
Scoop batter onto parchment lined sheet pans leaving space between each cookie. Bake in 375℉ oven for about 9-11 minutes or until golden (they will look a little under-cooked, they aren't). Let cool.
Notes
VariationDip cooled cookies half in melted chocolate. This is the way we made them at Bloomingdale’s and they sold out every day.
