Scallops Wrapped in Bacon
This is a classic and much loved hors d'oeuvre. This will yield 24 hors d'oeuvres and will serve 6 as a first course appetizer or 4 as a lunch / dinner entrée.

- 24 Scallops (washed and dried)
- 12 slices Bacon (cut in half to make 24 pieces)
- 1 tsp Crushed Black Pepper
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
Wash and dry Scallops. Cut Bacon in half to make 24 pieces.
Prepare dry rub. Mix together Black Pepper, Salt, Brown Sugar, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder and Old Bay Seasoning.
Remove a tablespoon of the mixture and set aside.
Toss dry scallops in dry rub and coat evenly.
Wrap each scallop in a bacon slice. Place on baking sheet with bacon seam down and sprinkle with reserved dry rub.
Bake in 400℉ oven until bacon is crispy brown approximately 10-12 minutes.
