¼cupWarm Milk(more or less as needed - you want a slightly thick glaze)
Instructions
In mixing bowl mix Flour, Dark Cocoa Powder, Black Pepper, Baking Soda and Cinnamon.
In separate bowl soak Raisins in Bourbon (to cover) for approximately 1-2 hours then drain. Reserve some liquid for later if needed.
To flour mixture add drained raisins, Melted Lard, Walnuts, and Semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels and blend well. Slowly add Milk.
Mixture will be slightly sticky. Roll or scoop into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in a 350℉ oven for 8-10 minutes. Bottoms will appear to be cooked and balls will look slightly undercooked - that is correct.
While still warm dip balls into icing and let cool on a wire rack.
Icing
Mix together Confectioners' Sugar and Warm Milk. You want a slightly thick glaze.
Notes
Instead of the sugar icing, roll chocolate balls in granulated sugar to coat.
