Biscuit Dough

Luke Warm Water

Vegetable Shortening
(or ½ lb cold diced butter)

Instructions
In measuring cup place Luke Warm Water, Yeast and Sugar and let sit for 5 minutest to allow yeast to develop.
In mixer fitted with dough hook place Flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder and Salt. Run mixer to blend dry ingredients.
Add Yeast Mixture, Vegetable Shortening (or Cold Diced Butter) and Buttermilk and run until dough comes away from sides of mixer.
Let rest covered with a towel for 30 minutes.
Place dough on a floured surface and roll to about ½-inch thick and cut small biscuits.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet spaced about 1-2 inches apart and brush with a little melted butter.
Bake in a 400℉ oven for 12-14 minutes or until lightly golden and flaky inside.
