Brie Bites
This is a perfect little bit of an hors d'oeuvre. It is wonderful by itself and even better with some fun ingredients.

- 2 wheels Brie
- Puff Pastry (prepared separately or store-bought)
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Water
- Dijon Mustard (1 dot per pastry square)
With a small melon baller or small ice cream scoop make 1-inch balls of Brie. Freeze balls at least 1 hour or longer.
Roll out Puff Pastry and cut into 2½-inch squares.
Make Egg wash blending Egg and Water and brush edges of pastry.
Place a dot of Dijon Mustard in center of pastry square and top with 1 frozen brie ball. Pinch corners to seal.
Bake in 400℉ oven for 8 minutes or until pastry is golden. Serve warm.
Variations
To place under frozen brie ball before closing pastry.
- Honey Mustard
- Pecan & Brown Sugar

- Melt 3 tbsp butter with 4 tbsp brown sugar and add ¼ cup chopped pecans
- Sautéed Appled & Pears

- Sauté in 3 tbsp butter small pieces of apples and pears until soft
- Diced Ham (with the Dijon)
- Cranberry Chutney

- Soften ½ cup dried cranberries with 3 tbsp sherry and 1 tsp onion powder
